What We Do
The Chandran Foundation tackles the educational and employment challenges faced by young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. All our work is completely free for the families, ensuring every child has access to the support they need to succeed.
Our remit is to ensure that children with a difficult start in life do not miss out on the benefits of a good education; every child should be able to fulfil their true potential.
The charity is constantly evolving to meet the needs of the children we support. We have run various programmes throughout our twenty-year history, including after-school tuition and breakfast clubs at primary schools, mentoring support for older pupils and homework clubs for the children of housing association tenants.
We have also delivered tailored educational projects for parents aimed at improving basic numeracy and literacy so they can provide effective support for their children.
